MP International specialises in organising exhibitions, conferences and special events for various industries and interest groups. To date, the group has organised and managed more than 250 national, regional and international events. MP's success with various partners is a testimony of its ability to identify opportunities and maximise the rewards for win-win partnerships. This has won MP the distinction of being the only homegrown exhibition and conference organiser to receive the Enterprise 50 award for two consecutive years, in 2001 and 2002.

Moving forward, MP is committed to support fellow industry players through its association with the World Events Organisation (WEO). It is a founding partner of WEO, a regional network of professional event organisers. It is also a member of the PICO group.

APEC Leaders Week ends on high note

Leaders from 21 economies in the Asia Pacific met in Singapore from 8 to 15 November. Among them were US President Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Singapore was the host for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in 2009, and MP handled the prestigious meetings at Suntec Singapore and the Istana. The meetings were a huge success and the project team led by Jason Ng was lauded for their professionalism.

MP forms strategic alliance with Fudan Hospital & Healthcare Management

MPI Shanghai has forged a strategic alliance with Fudan Hospital & Healthcare Management Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of well-known Fudan University and its 10 affiliated hospitals in Shanghai. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Shanghai on 12 November 2009. Both organisations intend to tap on each other’s resources to provide professional services for the management of medical meetings organised by Fudan University’s affiliated hospitals.

Besides bringing international medical meetings to China, MPI will lend support for the management overseas delegations to Fudan’s existing events. The alliance plans to bid for international medical congresses and eventually create titleship medical congresses. It also hopes to enhance the professionalism of the medical congress industry through training and exchanges.
