Singapore furniture show continues to ooze international appeal
The International Furniture Fair Singapore and ASEAN Furniture Show, Deco Asia and The Hospitality Show concluded on a high note on 12 March. At the official opening, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang said, “This year, a total of 512 companies representing 26 countries are participating at the trilogy of the events. This is a testament to its appeal in attracting furniture companies from all over the world and being an excellent platform to allow our local furniture players to showcase their multi-faceted capabilities.”
For the first time, the show featured a fringe event, SingaPlural — Singapore Furniture Design Week, and the Hospitality.Design.Furniture CONVERGE Asia Conference.
The furniture trade events were organised by International Furniture Fair Singapore Pte Ltd, which is partly owned by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) and MP International Pte Ltd.

As part of their move to boost the profile of the India International Furniture Fair (IIFF), show organisers, the International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) and MP International, inked a project joint venture agreement with Asian Business Exhibition and Conferences (ABEC). ABEC is the Indian organiser of The Economic Times ACETECH Fair.
The Economic Times ACETECH Fair is a mega exhibition series on architecture, construction, engineering and building materials. The collaboration allows the show organisers to leverage on each other’s strengths and expertise on two fronts – internationally and within the Indian sub-continent.
