India International Furniture Fair debuts in Mumbai

The 20th edition of the triennial international World Orchid Conference (WOC) held recently in Singapore has been recognised as "the finest there has ever been" by the World Orchid Conference Trust. It attracted more than 1,000 international conference delegates.
The accompanying 20th WOC Orchid Show and Flower Dome Preview at Gardens by the Bay also saw some 300,000 visits over the eight-day period. The orchid show covered

an area of 16,000 sqm. Stunning displays comprising 50,000 orchids of 5,000 varieties from around the world were featured.
The event was held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 13 to 20 November 2011. It was organised by the National Parks Board and Orchid Society of Southeast Asia, and managed by MP Asia.
The first edition of India International Furniture Fair (IIFF) concluded on a high note in Mumbai. Held from 16 to 18 November 2011 at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, some 100 leading international furniture brands, including three country pavilions – China, Singapore and Spain - were showcased.
Show highlights included a two-day design seminar with speakers from the design and furniture industry.
IIFF will return from 4 to 6 October 2012.
