MPI organised the 16th edition of ITMA, the largest textile and garment machinery exhibition in the world. The eight-day mega show attracted an international mix of visitors and buyers which included over 50 delegation groups from 27 countries. Show owner CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) was pleased with the results. MPI has been appointed to organise the next edition of ITMA which will take place in 2015 in Milan.
Mr Stephen Combes, President of CEMATEX: “ITMA 2011 has surpassed our expectations. Considering that the world is still facing economic difficulties, the vast majority of our exhibitors are delighted with the quality and the number of visitors. According to our national associations, their members have reported significant enquiries and many have taken even more orders than they hoped for.”

InfoComm Asia 2010, November 2010

Organised by InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd, a joint venture between MP Asia and InfoComm International, InfoComm Asia 2010 took place in Hong Kong. The trade show and summit for pro audio visual and systems integration attracted a total of 6,732 AV professionals and end‐users. Among vertical market end‐users who attended was a 103‐member delegation from China comprising trade association members heavily involved in a variety of large‐scale building projects across China.
Exhibitor Mr Michael Kinzel from beyerdynamic: “Visitor quality is good. We met a mix of existing and new customers, including systems integrators and consultants from China, the Philippines and India. They were very focused and showed great interest in our conferencing system and conference solutions. They seemed to be highly qualified people as they were able to understand our product technology and features very quickly.”

Delegates: 847 who attended the Summit programme and 42 professionals who registered for the SynAudCon Workshop.
World Expo 2010 - Urban Best Practices Area, May 2010

MPI provided exhibition planning and management for the Urban Best Practices Area of the World Expo 2010, China’s first ever major expo. At more than 15 hectares, the Urban Best Practices Area offered a stage for cities around the world to propose their solutions to urban issues from different perspectives.

Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2009 Leaders’ Week, November 2009
Suntec and Istana, Singapore
Singapore was the host for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in 2009. MP Asia worked with parent company, Pico to handle the APEC Leaders’ Week, a culmination of a series of key meetings, including the APEC Ministerial Meeting, Finance Ministers’ Meeting, APEC Business Advisory Council Meetings, Concluding Senior Officials Meetings and ABAC CEO Summit.
A total of 25,000 sqm of temporary offices and facility offices, including media centre, transport and operations hub, were created to support this event. In addition, the project team undertook the hospitality program that included the F&B arrangements for the World Leaders and members of the media. The event won the “Best Business Service Event Experience Award” at the Singapore Experience Award 2010, organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008, 2010, 2012

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 was the first combined show of the two established brands, ITMA ASIA and CITME. Unprecedented support from the world’s major textile machinery associations made the show Asia’s most important textile machinery showcase. The first show in 2008 spanned 126,500sqm and the exhibition attracted a total of 1,368 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. More than 80,000 visitors attended, including international buyers from 96 countries and regions.
ITMA ASIA + CITME is jointly owned by CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers), the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC), and organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd and co-organised by MPI.

MP Asia was appointed to provide consultancy as Professional Event Planner and Secretariat Support for the Local Organising Committee in planning for the IOC Session. In addition to participating in all the committee meetings and monitoring the work progress, MP Asia also provided advice and inputs to the various committees on operational issues and clearances necessary for the different aspects, from security, venue liaison, branding collaterals to tender documentation as well as co-ordination with the different parties involved in scenario planning.
