Deepening Economic Interactions Between Europe & South East Asia
The EU Business Avenues in South East Asia programme is an initiative funded by the European Union to help European companies establish long-lasting business collaborations in the region through matchmaking and business support services, using Singapore as a hub.
The EUBA will bring some 1,000 European companies across six industry sectors to South East Asia. The six sectors are Contemporary European Design, Environment & Water Technologies, Green Energy Technologies, Healthcare & Medical Technologies, Information & Communication Technologies and Organic Food & Beverage.
The initial challenge we had was to thoroughly understand the six very different industry sectors and the respective South East Asia markets.
There were multiple partners involved which made coordination more complicated. However, with MP’s prior experiences managing events across different sectors and markets, coupled with collaborations with Deloitte and various stakeholders (such as chambers of commerce, EU delegation offices and trade associations), we were able to successfully deliver the right visitors to meet the European companies and achieve our KPIs.
